Biography
In 1851, she was a power loom weaver of cotton. In 1871 and 1881 census, she is described as "formerly a dressmaker," living with her sister in Ballochmyle St, Catrine. The Kilmarnock Standard of 8.7.1882 noted the death "At Ballochmyle St, Catrine, on the 2nd inst., Elizabeth Ferguson, daughter of the late James Ferguson. Friends will please accept of this (the only) intimation." She was buried in Sorn with her parents and sister Mary.
